About Global City Data
Global City Data is an open, federated platform to showcase peer-reviewed urban datasets and models using a consistent socio-ecological-infrastructural systems framework. Our intent is to create a comprehensive collaborative platform that collates and features many different urban datasets and models created by different research groups in one easily browsable platform, while each of the individual authors retain autonomy over their data products.
We invited you to: browse the available datasets and models; contribute (link) your own peer-reviewed work to be featured on the website ; and blog about best practices in the development or use of urban data and models to advance sustainability outcomes in communities.
This data project was initiated in 2017 by Professor Anu Ramaswami when she served as lead Principal Investigator of three multi-institution US National Science Foundation grants that required a collaborative data platform.
